One super football fan will have the opportunity of winning the sum of 12 million nairas in the maiden edition of the Nigeria Football Fans Challenge set to hit television screens across the country soon.
The show will see a total of 54 contestants slug it out for the grand prize of 7 million nairas in cash reward and an opportunity to impact their immediate community with the sum of 5 million nairas which will be used for a specific capital project.
Participating contestants will be asked questions ranging from their knowledge of foreign club football to questions concerning teams in Nigeria including Enyimba, Kano Pillars and Shooting Stars.
Reacting to the forthcoming event, Mr Richard Ige one of the sponsors of the event revealed to www.footballlive.ng that fans who register also stand a chance of winning cash sums of up to 1 million nairas weekly.
Mr Ige also gave vivid details on the registration and selection process. “After the registration period which will last for eight weeks, we are going to have a show, before then we will pick the best of 50, 000 fans to audition and out of that number 54 people will be selected, six fans representing each of the football clubs including three from the domestic league. The winner will win the sum of 12 million nairas with 5 million going to their local communities.
Also reacting to the Forthcoming show, the project coordinator Mr Timi Ayeni gives more reason for staging the reality TV show. “The reason why we decided to come up with this project was that we stumbled on statistics that rated Nigerians as one of the craziest football supporting countries in the world and it is becoming a very big culture in the country.
