NPFL: SUPER SIX, OUR TARGET – ALIU


The Elkanemi Warriors of Bornu midfielder Abdulrasak Aliu said his team has set its target on playing in the Super Six at the end of the season. Aliu who spoke with Footballlive.ng after the match they loss 5-1 to Nassarawa United in Lafia said though it was a disappointing outing for he and his teammates, they will keep giving their best till the end of the season.

“Our thinking is the super six. It is achievable, and we are quite close to achieving it. We need to remain focused, work hard as a team and don’t get distracted at this critical period where we have few matches to end the season.
The former Enyimba of Aba defensive midfielder believes the high point of this season for El kanemi Warriors was beating Akwa United both home and away. ” So far, the high points for us as players is beating Akwa United both home and away. Picking the six points against a more formidable, and better motivated team like Akwa United is just simply the memory of the season for now.
